Royal Icing Cookie Decorating Class- Each student will receive 5 sugar cookies in a seasonal design & theme to decorate and take home. Students will be given basic instructions on how to decorate with royal icing and shown a few beginner techniques. The students will be able to use their own creativity to decorate the cookies however they choose with the focus of the class primarily being on enjoying the process and gaining hands on experience.  Students will take their cookies home in a bakery box and will also have the opportunity to create their own “logo” for their box of cookie creations. Reinforcing, what we believe to be, autonomy, confidence, and uniqueness through kitchen learning. Each class will be in small groups of less than 10 students and will be approximately 1-1.5 hours in length depending on the speed of the students. Each student will take home their unbaked mini loaf. This mini loaf can be baked at the students home with supervision after it has fully risen. Taste testing premade bread with a variety of toppings will also occur during class. This is a fun, hands on experience to help the students build food knowledge, skills, and confidence in the kitchen. Whisk of Wonder Storytime (Ages 5-8)- This class is combining our love of children's literature, food, and learning into one magical storytime!  This storytime will feature a reading of a beloved children's book, a discussion, and a food component related to the story. This means after each story & discussion we will do something small related to the book with cooking, baking, or food education. It's our favorite way to bring the story to life, educate, explore, snack, and have fun while we do it! Each book will be geared towards children aged 5-8. Storytimes typically last about 1 hour. Younger and older siblings are welcome to attend. Hope to see you there! ($6/Student)
